A recent article ‘Crystal Clear with the team’ in the Hills News celebrates Crystal Pools 60 years in the industry. During that time we have built over 20,000 domestic and 1,000 commercial swimming pools.

CRYSTAL Pools is an Australian owned and operated company established in 1957. This year they celebrate their 60th Diamond Anniversary and are proud to be pioneers of many great Australian swimming pools. Crystal Pools has approximately 50 staff members from engineers, designers, managers and trades people. On average, staff have been with the company for approximately 10 years and one staff member is soon to celebrate his 45th anniversary with Crystal Pools.

Summer heatwave increases pool popularity

The real estate website Domain ran a story on how the summer heatwave is creating a sharp resurgence in the popularity of homes with swimming pools. With residents of Western Sydney experiencing the full brunt of the hot weather with temperatures in the 40’s people are looking to keep cool.

Sydney’s ferocious summer heatwave is warping home buyers’ decisions, with buyers bidding less for homes without airconditioning and wrangling over prices when they know they have to fork out to install it themselves. Swimming pool builder Crystal Pools reports its sales this January were three times up on the previous year.
 
Sales manager Andrew Rothery says a pool’s main competition is a new car or family holiday. “But the heat seems to be driving people towards pools, and helping them make their decision much more quickly to put one in,” he says.

Crystal Pools Commercial Division again are MBA Award winners winning three MBA awards in the Commercial Pools, Commercial Water Features and Commercial Spas categories last weekend.

The pool complex at the luxurious Primus Hotel Sydney  are the 2016 MBA Award winners taking out the Commercial Pools and Commercial Water Feature categories. The rooftop features a 20m heated lap pool and water flows through the water feature around the sundeck creating the ultimate New York rooftop vibe.

The pool complex at the premium Air Apartments in St Leonards are 2016 MBA Award winners in the Commercial Spas category. The pool complex features a resident’s pool with in-pool skylights that creates a dramatic ceiling view from the floor below.

Crystal Pools is excited to announce that a recent in-ground concrete lap pool of ours located in West Pennant Hills has been selected as a Finalist in the 2016 Hills Shire Swimming Pool Awards.
The Hills Building & Design awards have received a record number of entries this year, which is a fantastic result and a true reflection on the building industry in the Hills Shire.
The winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner at the beautiful Curzon Hall, Marsfield in October.

Pymble Ladies college swimming pool

Earlier this year, Crystal Pools Commercial division has completed construction of multiple aquatic facilities for Pymble Ladies College swimming pool complex.
The new Aquatic and Fitness Centre includes a 50m heated indoor, eight lane Swimming Pool with multiple dive platforms, a large purpose built learn to swim pool, a multi-purpose fitness centre, incorporating strength and conditioning facilities, and consultation and remedial treatment rooms.

A timely article: The recent edition of the Hills News discusses how to prepare your pool for winter.
Once the temperatures start falling many pool owners often turn a blind eye to their pool until swimming season returns thinking they are saving themselves time and money. However, this is a false economy. “Regular maintenance over the winter months will help to protect your asset ”, says Sales Manager, Andrew Rothery. The most economical method is to switch to a winter maintenance program to ensure you don’t get any surprises that can be expensive to resolve.

Infinity edge pool – Pittwater

In January’s edition of Landscaping your Garden Andrew Rothery of Crystal Pools discusses Crystal’s Northern Beaches swimming pool project, the brief, challenges and materials.
Due to the elevation of the property the homeowners wanted a partially raised pool that visually complemented the property when viewed from below. They wanted to feel as if they were floating above the coast – uninterrupted views and a seamless integration with the expansive backdrop. They also requested an expansive decking that covered the entire level for entertaining and relaxing and for all pool equipment to be concealed, so as not distracting from the view.
